     Dąbrowa Górnicza, one of the biggest cities of the Silesian voievodship, occupies the area of 188 square km area. In this area 180 ha occupies municipal parks like Zielona.
     The city is traversed by the most important transportation routes of the Southern Poland.
     The city has excellent connections with East-West international routes. Directly from Nurenberg, via Dresden, Katowice and Cracow one you may get to Lvov and Kiev.
      In figures city represent:
      - 133.546 inhabitants, from them 22.399 are young people, who not have reached 18 years old with 697 people per square km is the population density;
      - 12.283 companies act in the city;
      - 65 public schools and kindergartens;
      - 13 quarters and villages it consist of their commune;
      - 12 swimming pools next to schools;
      - 3 higher schools with four thousands students.
     The city is an important center of industry and essential centre of culture and recreation of the region. The advantages of this region are attractive recreation areas with largest in Zagbie Dbrowskie areas of lakes and forests.
     The authorities are very interested in going of new partners, which would like to co-operate with Dąbrowa Górnicza in scope of self-governing development, business, culture and sport.
     International, based on partnership co-operation, they are treating as a chance and opportunity for realization of common projects, aimed on creating of better conditions for local community development.
